Mulki: Miraculous escape for cops on railway bridge

Mangaluru, Oct 26, 2023: Four personnel of the Mulki police station who had been to the Kubevoor railway bridge for a spot inspection following the suicide of a youth by coming under a moving train, had a miraculous escape with only minor injuries as a train passed through the track when they were nearby.

Vishlesh (26), son of Kumar, a staff of the Mulki Railway Station had ended his life by coming under a moving train on October 22, Sunday at around 8.30 pm. Vishlesh who had completed his engineering from a college in Coimbatore was undergoing training at NITK- Suratkal. It is said unemployment was the reason for his extreme step.

The Kubevoor railway bridge is narrow. ASI Sanjeeva and staff Shanker, Basavaraj and Chandrashekhar had visited the place when a train passed through all of a sudden. The cops jumped aside in the nick of time to save themselves.
