Moodbidri: PUC student dies after car–bike collision at Bannadka

Moodbidri, Feb 13, 2026: A student of Rotary PU College who was seriously injured in a car–bike collision at Bannadka in the taluk on Thursday night has succumbed to his injuries despite treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Shravan, son of Sadananda Suvarna and Rajashree of Kotebagilu in Marpadi village.
The accident occurred near the Bannadka Daivasthana on the under-construction Karkala–Moodbidri National Highway. Shravan was reportedly riding pillion with content creator Suraj Anchan at the time of the mishap.
A car coming at high speed from the Karkala side allegedly rammed into the bike, leaving both riders critically injured. They were initially admitted to a hospital in Moodbidri and later shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment. However, Shravan did not respond to treatment and passed away, sources said.
