Mangaluru, April 05, 2021: The security guard of a stranded dredging vessel "Bhagavathi Prem" has been found dead in the sea at Guddekopla on April 5, Monday.
The deceased is Shanker (42). He was of north Karnataka origin but was staying in the locality and had joined work as a security guard a few days ago.
There were two other security guards in the dredger. It is said Shanker went missing after midnight on Sunday. The reason behind his death is yet to be ascertained. The dredger has remained stranded in the sea since two years.
Suratkal police are investigating the case.
