Mangalore, Nov 22, 2013 : A youth hailing from Bajal in Mangalore who was working at Alkhobar in Saudi Arabia has met a suspicious death. Several suspect this to be a case of murder.
The deceased youth is Asif (26), son of Abdurrehman, Saramma couple of Bajal. He was working in a bird rearing centre of the prestigious Live Safari near Al Khobar.
Asif who had left home from office at around 12.30 midnight on November 19, Tuesday night, in his office car was found in an unconscious state on the roadside at Janadri about 25 km away from his place of work the next morning,. Locals who noticed him had admitted him to the hospital.
Though Asif had reportedly regained consciousness and even passed on the phone numbers of his friends to the police, he again lost consciousness and died at around 10.30 pm on November 20, Wednesday.
There were injury marks on Asif’s waist and head and his waist bones were broken. Doctors who had treated him suspect that some vehicle might have hit Asif from behind. Though Asif’s car key and mobile phone were with him, the car is missing.
Asif who was working as a bus conductor in Mangalore had left for the Gulf about four and a half years ago. He had been hometown two years ago and was planning to return hometown shortly.
He was the youngest of the five children of his parents.
