Mangalore : Young doctor dies in hit and run case near Polali

Mangalore, July 20, 2013: A young doctor lost his life  in a hit and run case reported from near Polali Cross, Gurupur Kaikamba on July 19, Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as  Dr Harshavardhan Ganesh Ullal (29), a resident of Pandeshwar.


Harshavardhan 1Dr Harshavardhan  died on the spot when the motorbike he was riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle which fled  the scene taking advantage of the  absence of any vehicle or pedestrian around close by the Polali Temple welcome arch.


Dr Harshavardhan had sustained serious injuries on his head and shoulders. It is learnt, he  was returning from a friend’s house at Ganjimutt.  Three of his other friends who had accompanied him had returned by car while he returned in his bike.


Dr Harshavardhan who had served in KMC and AJ Hospital for some time was supposed to appear for post-graduate examination. He was an alumnus of Canara College and KMC.
