Mangalore: Unidentified miscreants attack cousins at Kulshekhar

Mangalore, May 13, 2013 : Cousins who were on way to   the KSRTC bus stand  from Gurupur Kaikamba were intercepted by some miscreants and attacked near Kalpane, Kulshekhar on May 12, Sunday at around 7.40 pm. In all probability it was an attack suspecting the two to be lovers who belonged to different communities.

The incident took place when the boy who is doing his engineering in Mangalore was taking his cousin who was doing her graduation in Bangalore, in his bike to the KSRTC bus stand.

It is learnt, their bike was intercepted near Kalpane by three youth who were also riding  a bike. It is said, they used vulgar language and hit the boy. While his cousin tried to protect him, she too was hurt.

It is learnt, they pushed the boy to the ground and began assaulting him as others  who gathered  remained mute spectators. Later they fled  the scene.  A complaint has  been lodged in Kadri police station.
