Mangalore : St Agnes College to host natl level fest “ Bonne Volonte Cirque”

Mangalore, Dec 4, 2012: St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore will organize a 2- day National Level Intercollegiate fest ‘Bonne Volonte Cirque’, on December 7and 8. The event will be inaugurated by renowned Sandalwood actor, singer and music director Gurukiran.

Addressing media  persons at the  Press Club on Dec 4, Tuesday, College Principal Sr. M Prem D’Souza AC, said that events of the fest will be conducted under the following faculties like Arts- Cirque Du Soleil, Science- Cirque Du Ingeniux and Commerce and Business Management- Cirque Du Mammom.


She said the title of the event  is given in French, following a request by students and faculty,  since St Agnes has also  introduced French language  as one of the subjects.


The various competitions aim to test and enhance the organizing abilities, creativity and team spirit among students, to encapsulate their expertise and help them move beyond the confines of academics, Sr Prem informed. She also said that over fifteen colleges from across the country are expected to take part.


Nazeera Mohammad, Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax will be the chief guest at the valedictory ceremony to  be held on December 8 at 4.30 pm. Event co-ordinator Malavika Shetty and student co-ordinator Flavia Lasrado were present at the press meet.
