Mangalore, Jan 17, 2013: The much awaited Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Kreedotsava-III is all set for a flying start on Friday, 18th January 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at function blessed by HH Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Sri Pejavar Mutt, Udupi.

The popular village games mela will be inaugurated by Sri B. Ramanath Rai, Former State Minister and President of DKCC in the presence of a galaxy of dignitaries like Sri Nalin Kumar Kateel (MP), Sri Krishna J. Palemar (Ex-Minister, Government of Karnataka), Sri. B. Nagaraj Shetty (Ex-Minister, Government of Karnataka), Sri Prithviraj R.K. (President, Gurupur Block Congress Committee), Sri Jagadish Adhikari (BJP District Vice President), Dr. Mohan Alva (Chairman, Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodabidri), Sri Mohammed Althaf (General Secretary, DK District Youth Congress) and Kannada Filmstar Ms. Haripriya.

                       

 

The Kreedotsava-III will be held over three days, on 18th, 19th and 20th January 2013 in the fields adjacent to Shasthavu Sri Bhoothanatheshwara Temple, Badaga Yedapadav, Mijar, Mangalore. There will be 40 games in 70 categories with an aggregate prize money of over Rs. 15 lakh. “We have received a record number of 2900 entries so far which is much more than what we received in the last two years,” said Sri Vijaynath Shetty, Chief Coordinator of the event. “We expect an exciting and highly competitive performance this year and I appeal to all the people of the district to come and witness this mega sporting event.” 

On Friday 18th January evening at 6:00 p.m. onwards ‘Manassuda Ullasogu Bodad Enchinala Malpuva’, a talent show, will be staged during which Film Star Shivadwaj and Popular TV Anchors Anushree and Naveen Shetty will be the panel of judges.

Other celebrities who are expected to visit the event during the three days are: Cricket Stars Munaf Patel and Praveen Kumar, Hockey Legend Dhanraj Pillai, Sandalwood Music Director Gurukiran and Film Stars Prem and Shubha Poonja.

Eminent personalities like Sri Abhayachandra Jain (MLA), Sri U.T. Khadar (MLA) and Sri Vijay Kumar Shetty (Former MLA) too have confirmed to witness the Kreedotsava during the three days.

Dance Programme by Boyzone Dance Troupe and Comedy and Mimicry by Bank Janardhan and Team will be staged on Saturday 19th January evening 7:30 p.m. onwards. Famous playback singer Rajesh Krishnan will give a live concert on Sunday 20th January 7:00 p.m. onwards.
