Mangalore, Dec7, 2012: A speeding car crashed into a shop in Pumpwell on the evening of December 6, Thursday, causing much damage. However, no one was injured in the mishap.

Reports said the driver of the Ford Fiesta car crashed into ‘Sandeep Arts’ in a bid to avoid ramming against another vehicle from the opposite direction, in his overtaking bid.


The car even caused damage to a nearby furniture shop and a two-wheeler parked nearby before coming to a halt.  


There was almost chaos in the area as a large crowd gathered. Everything cooled down later on after the driver of the car agreed to pay compensation to the shop owners.


It is learnt, no case has been registered.
