Mangalore : Minister Rai launches ‘Shanthigaagi Sahitya’ campaign

Mangalore, Nov 4, 2013 : “Shanthigaagi Sahitya” a unique literary campaign organised by  Shanthi Prakashana, a noted publishing house of Mangalore, was inaugurated at Town Hall here on November 4, Monday by DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest and Ecology B Ramanatha Rai.

Rai also released a book entitled Tafzimul Quran -3  after inaugurating a Book Fair organised on the occasion.

Speaking at the function, he stressed the need to build a society where peace, harmony and brotherhood prevails. “Instead of blaming others, we should try to correct ourselves,” he said.

 

 

State Minister for Health and Family Welfare UT Khader released a book entitled ‘Maathu Hegirabeku.’ He hailed the contributions of Shanthi Prakashana to the society  through good literary works. Healthy thoughts are a must for a healthy society, he said.

 State Youth Services and Sports Minister Abhayachandra Jain, MLAs JR Lobo, Moidin Bava, former minister BA Moidin, veteran writer and Shanthi Prakashana Silver Jubilee Reception Committee  President Erya Lakshminarayana Alva, District Congress interim President Ibrahim Kodijal, Dr. Habeeb Rehman and others were present.
