Mangalore, Aug 27, 2013 : Police are on the lookout  for two persons, both siblings who had cheated several people to the tune of nearly Rs 2 crores. The accused have been identified as Imran and Parveena.

One  Poornima who has  been cheated by the fraudsters says she has lost as much as Rs 55 lakhs. She says she came to know Parveena through a  common friend Haniba Banu in September 2012. Parveena had requested Poornima to lend her for business purpose and land dealings with a promise that she would return  it with interest.

It is learnt Poornima paid the amount in instalments of Rs 10 lakhs with the help of her own funds and some funds borrowed from others. But, she says Parveena did not return the same and finally her brother assured to return the money. Meanwhile, it is said one Haneef, a friend of Imran was threatening those who demanded their money back. It is said one Amina had lost as much as Rs 1.5 crores.

 A complaint has been lodged with the CCB. It is learnt Parveena lived at Morgansgate in the past and was presently residing  based at Kaprigudde. Investigations are underway.
