Mangalore: A mentally ill man goes on rampage at Nantoor

Mangalore, Nov 5, 2013: A mentally ill man went on a rampage by pelting stones at vehicles and pedestrians at Nantoor November 5, Tuesday.

Reportedly, the man aged 35-40 years was seen wandering around with only a pair of trousers.

According to the eyewitness, after throwing stones at people and vehicle, he also tried to barge in the houses located at the vicinity.

The man, who went chaotic, had also climbed the hillock and got stuck there. Noticing it, the locals gathered at the spot and informed the police and fire service. Later the fire personnel have struggled hard to rescue him.

On questioning, the man revealed himself as Rajesh Shetty from Bokkapatna in Tulu and went on murmuring about his hatred towards his parents and love for his wife.

The Kadri police reached the spot and took him away for the medical treatment.
