Mangalore: 6 pairs tie knot at simple mass marriage ceremony

Mangalore, Feb 24, 2013: A total of six pairs tied the nuptial knot at a  simple mass marriage ceremony organized by the Hayatul Islam Association in Mangalore on February 24, Sunday. The rituals were held under the guidance of Alhaj Shaikuna Twaka Ahmed Musilyar, Khazi of DK.

Presiding over a function held in this connection, the Khazi emphasized the need for  continuous patronage of simple marriages.

 

Earlier, Haji Abdul Khader Darimi Kukkila, Khatib of Kudroli Muhiyuddeen Jumma Masjid, inaugurated the ceremony. He said   people should prefer   simple wedding ceremonies instead of extravagant spending on weddings.

Sadakatulla Faizi, Khatib of Kendra Jumma Masjid, UT Khader, MLA and  KS Mohammad Masood, Muslim Central Committee President blessed the newly wedded couple.

Haji F Ahmed, Haji Musa Moidin, Hazi Riyaz Bava, Haji UK Abdul Khader, Iqbal Ahmed, K Ashraf, AM Ibrahim, Haji Ahmed Bava, Haji  Abdul Razak, President of  Hayatul Islam Association, CK Ahmed, Secretary and others were present.
