Man shoots video of suicide attempt; rescued by cops

Dharmasthala, Sep 29, 2022: A man who shot a video while consuming poison at a forest near Dharmasthala and then sent the video to his family, has been rescued by the police and rushed to the hospital.

 

The man who attempted suicide is Sunil (28) of Ramanathapura in Arakalagudu taluk of Hassan district. He had come to Dharmasthala in his bike on Wednesday morning. After visiting the temple he had been to a hilly area near the Mahatma  Gandhi Circle and had consumed poison. He had then sent the video to his family which intimated the Dharmasthala police.

Dharmasthala SI Anil Kumar and his staff rushed to the forest area and spotted Sunil in a semi conscious state. He was later admitted to a private hospital in Ujire.

Sunil owns a footwear shop in his town and is married and is a father of a three month old child. It is learnt, differences with his wife  forced him to take the extreme step.
