Malpe, 01 December 2010: December 1st being the World Aids Day, Manipal Sand Artists created sand sculpture at Malpe Beach to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, which was organized by Health Department. The sand sculpture with various slogans in boards displayed beside was giving a strong message on awareness, which attracted many people at the beach.


December 1st being the World Aids Day, Manipal Sand Artists created sand sculpture at Malpe Beach to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS, which was organized by Health Department. The sand sculpture with various slogans in boards displayed beside was giving a strong message on awareness, which attracted many people at the beach.


December 1st has been marked as World Aids Day and on this day the international community makes its efforts on their annual movement to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and to promote prevention and the search for a cure.


Thousands of people are living with HIV all around the world and new infections continue every year. This effort by Manipal Sand Artists and the Health Department on the World AIDS Day 2010 is all about raising awareness to tackle HIV prejudice, understand the facts about HIV and what everyone can do to help stop the spreading of HIV.
