Mangaluru, Aug 01, 2022: The Third Additional Civil Court of Mangaluru has adjourned the pronouncement of verdict in the Malali mosque row, to August 10. The court had earlier reserved its judgement for August 1. However as the judge who was hearing the case has been transferred, the judgement will now be delivered on August 10.
As the judge has been transferred, the case is likely to come up before a new bench.
Earlier, when the court was at a stage of passing a verdict, Manoj Kumar, Dhananjaya and others had moved the High Court seeking direction not to pass verdict in the mosque row, by the trial court.
The High Court which took up the case, refrained the lower courts from passing an order until directed. Later the High Court had dismissed the petition before it and the Civil Court had reserved its verdict for August 1. Meanwhile, as the judge has been transferred, the pronouncement of the verdict has been put off.
