MAD was launched for the empowerment of street children, inmates of orphanages and shelters, and students weak in English. In collaboration with Cambridge University Press, MAD uses Cambridge English for Schools to teach English to children weak in the language.

Dr. Akhter Hussain, the professor and head of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics in Yenepoya Medical and Dental College, said that this is a good initiative on the part of MAD to help poor kids.

S. M. Arshad, the managing director of Motisham; Chandrika of the Women and Child Welfare Department; and Greeshma Pai, the president of the Mangalore Chapter of MAD, were all present on the occasion.

The programme was sponsored by City Centre, Prakash Offset Printers, Namma TV, Properties, and others.
