Mangaluru, Jun 10, 2021: DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary has said that the lockdown in Dakshina Kannada district is all likely to be extended by another week from June 14.
He was speaking to reporters after participating in a video conference with Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on June 10, Thursday. Deputy Commissioners of Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Mysuru, Mandya, Shivamogga, Belagavi, Chikkamagaluru and Tumakuru districts where there is high positivity rate, also participated in the meeting.
He said an appeal had been made to the Chief Minister to extend lockdown by a week while exempting a few industries. The CM has agreed to this, Kota said adding lockdown will all likely be extended by a week.
He said a meeting of MPs and MLAs to be held on June 11 will decide on the exemptions during the lockdown.
