Kundapur: 25 persons injured in tourist bus-lorry collision

Kundapur, May 22, 2013: As many as 25 persons were injured, four of them seriously in a head-on collision between a tourist bus and a lorry at Amparu near here on May 22, Wednesday morning.
The tourist bus from Tumkur named BPS Travels was taking 38 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu to Kollur after visiting Shringeri, while the lorry laden with paddy was on way to Siddapur.
It is learnt the pilgrims were from Krishnagiri district. The seriously injured are identified as Shiva (10), Dorairaj (45),Kannamma (45) and the lorry driver. Even the bus driver has been injured in the mishap.
All the injured have been shifted to Kundapur Government Hospital and private hospitals in the town.
Shankernarayana police have registered a case
