Kumble: Agonized over son’s death, man ends life

Kumble, Aug 16, 2023: In a tragic incident, a man who was deeply agonized by the death of his son, has ended his life by hanging himself at Bambrana Kalkula near Kumble.

The deceased is Lokesh (52). His body was found at Ullal beach on August 15, Tuesday morning. Lokesh’s 26 year old son Rajesh who had gone missing on July 10 was found dead on the Netravathi banks near Bengre on July 12.

Lokesh was deeply distressed following the death of his son. On Tuesday morning he had sent WhatsApp message to many people revealing his intention of ending life. He had left his mobile phone at home. When friends called his phone, his family members came to know about his decision.

Immediately the Ullal police were informed. But Lokesh’s body was found at Ullal soon after by local fishermen.
