Kota Srinivas Poojary gets ministerial berth in Shetter cabinet

Mangalore, July 12, 2012: Kota Srinivas Poojary, BJP MLC from Kundapur is the only person to get ministerial berth in the cabinet from the coastal town.

Though sources said that there are chances for Krishna Palemar to get back ministerial birth, last moment changes is said to have happened due to pressure from the governor not to involve anyone in the ministers list who are involved in scandals. Hence, Krishna Palemar, C C Patil and Laxmana Savadi’s names were dropped at the last moment owing to their involvement in the porngate scandal.

 

Meanwhile, BJP MLAs from the coastal district, who feel they have been neglected in the newly formed state cabinet, have met under the leadership of Haladi Srinivas Shetty in Bangalore. Only MLC Kota Srinivas Poojari has got a berth while the rest namely Srinivas Shetty, Yogish Bhat, Angara, Mallika Prasad, Raghupathi Bhat and Lalaji Mendon have been neglected.

 

Jagadish Shivappa Shettar, who hails from Hubli took oath as the 21st chief minister of  Karnataka and third chief minister in the 4 -year-old BJP rule in the state.

Shettar took oath in the name of God amidst huge applause and slogans from his supporters at at Raj Bhavan at 12 on July 12, Thursday. Followed by him, state BJP president K S Eshwarappa took oath as deputy chief minister of state.
