Koraga community members demand better medical facilities

Mangalore, July 22, 2013: Janarogya Andolan Karnataka in association with Koraga Abhivriddhi Sanghagala Okkuta ® staged a protest in front of DC Office on July 22, Monday opposing lack of  medical facilities for the community.

Addressing the protestors, Janarogya Andolan member Padma urged the health department to provide free medicine and treatment for members of the community in all the government hospitals of the district in any time. 

Padma also urged the government and health department to appoint permanent doctors to government hospitals instead of appointing them on the contract basis.

Janarogya Andolan State Convener K B Hobali said that the poor facilities in government hospitals have made the people of Koraga community suffer.
