Mangalore, May 15, 2014 : Sri Esha Vittaldas Swamiji of Kemar Sandeepani Ashram has demanded that the government reveal the progress of the investigation into the Sowjanya rape and murder case.
The seer was speaking to reporters after submitting a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim and Mangalore Police Commissioner R Hithendra and requesting for a speedy investigation into the Sowjanya case as well as the case of the mysterious death of a baby named Sarika who it is believed was a victim of black magic.

The seer said he was not happy with the response of the Mangalore Police Commissioner to his memorandum and added the Commissioner did not say anything after receiving the memorandum.
The government should ensure that the case be probed at the earliest and compensation also disbursed to the affected families, the seer demanded.
If Sowjanya was found dead at Pangala near Dharmasthala in October 2012, Sarika, daughter of Bhavani and Mohandas of Nadugallu who was missing in August 2013 was found dead near a pond a few days later with severed limbs.
