Kemar seer urges govt to reveal progress of CBI probe into Sowjanya case

Mangalore, May 15, 2014 :  Sri Esha Vittaldas Swamiji of Kemar Sandeepani Ashram  has demanded that the government  reveal the progress of the investigation into the Sowjanya rape and murder case.


The seer was speaking to reporters after submitting a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner AB Ibrahim and Mangalore Police Commissioner R Hithendra  and requesting for a speedy investigation into the Sowjanya case as well as the case of the  mysterious death of a baby named Sarika who it is believed was a victim of black magic.

The seer said he was not happy with the response of the Mangalore Police Commissioner to his memorandum  and added the Commissioner did not say anything after receiving the memorandum.

The government should ensure that the case be probed at the earliest and compensation also disbursed to the affected families, the seer demanded.

If Sowjanya  was found dead at Pangala near Dharmasthala in October 2012, Sarika, daughter of Bhavani and Mohandas of Nadugallu  who was missing in August 2013 was found  dead near a pond a few days later with severed limbs.
