Kasargod man arrested for robbing Rs one cr cash in Bahrain

Kasargod, Sep 10, 2013:  Kasargod police have been successful in arresting the accused in the case of robbing  a  man in Bahrain of a cash of Rs one crore after throwing chilly powder on his eyes.

The arrested is A Fazal (27) of Anangur. Two others involved in the case have also been reportedly taken into custody.

The incident had taken place on August 1 in Bahrain when Sajeer  (28) who hailed from Malappuram and worked for a   company owned by a Malappuram man in Bahrain was on way to deposit cash with a money transfer agency.

The accused had then robbed him after throwing chilly powder on his face and Sajeer had to be hospitalized. Though his employer  Abdul Gafur had lodged a complaint, the Bahrain police could not apprehend the accused despite even coming to Kasargod in search of the latter.

Later, Gafur lodged a complaint with the Kasargod police who managed to arrest the accused.
