Kasargod : Youth, friend arrested for raping 14 year old sister

Kasargod, Dec 18, 2012:  Another instance of sexual abuse of a minor by her very own family members, has been reported in Kerala. This time the incident has been reported from Pavoor in Kasargod wherein a 14 year old girl was allegedly raped by her very own brother and his friend since two years.

Police have arrested the culprits namely Ashraf(31) the brother of the minor girl and the former’s friend Abdul Azeez (22). Interrogations of the duo revealed that  they had taken the girl to various places of Karnataka and had raped. However, police suspect the involvement of more persons.The girl was found late night in a hotel and was questioned by the police when the incident came to light.

 This is the fourth such case reported from Kerala. In earlier instances  a father and seven others at Paravoor in Ernakulam district had been charged with raping the former’s 17 year old daughter for one year. In another instance, a man charged with raping his six year old child has been absconding. In a case reported from Talassery in Kannur, a 13 year old was sexually abused by her father, 15 year old brother  and uncles for two years.
