Kasargod: Manjeshwar ASI found dead at police quarters; suicide suspected

Kasargod, Aug 22, 2025: In a tragic incident, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) attached to the Manjeshwar police station was found dead at the police quarters on Friday morning. It is suspected to be a suicide.
The deceased has been identified as Madhusoodhan (49), a resident of Kuttikol. His colleagues discovered him hanging from a ceiling fan after he failed to report for duty.
Madhusoodhan, who had earlier served at Badiadka, Adur, and Kasargod town police stations, was known as a sincere and dedicated officer. Senior police officials visited the spot, where a death note was reportedly recovered.
The exact reason behind the suicide remains unclear. The Manjeshwar police have registered a case and conducted an inquest. Madhusoodhan was unmarried.
