Kasaragod YouTuber ‘Shalu King’ Held for Assaulting Minor

Kasaragod, July 26, 2025: Mohammad Sali (35), known online as ‘Shalu King’, was arrested by Koyilandy police at Mangaluru International Airport on Saturday for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl.
A resident of Cheppinadka near Kodiyamma in Kasaragod, Sali was intercepted on arrival from abroad based on a Look Out Circular. He was handed over to Kerala police.
He was married in 2016 and has three children. It was during a period of estrangement from his wife that he came into contact with the victim through social media platforms such as Instagram and Snapchat. According to police, he gained the girl’s trust and subsequently assaulted her, claiming he intended to marry her.
A POCSO case was registered and he had fled abroad to evade arrest. Further investigation is underway.
