Karkala: Pedestrian killed after being hit by speeding car

Karkala, Nov7, 2025: A speeding car rammed into a pedestrian walking along the roadside, resulting in his death while being taken to the hospital. The accident occurred on Wednesday evening near the Forest Department office on the Karkala–Padubidri state highway in Belman.
The deceased has been identified as Suresh. Around 5 p.m., Suresh was walking by the roadside when a car speeding from Karkala towards Padubidri hit him from behind. The car then swerved to the right side of the road, crashed into a tree, and overturned.
Suresh sustained serious injuries and died while being shifted to the hospital. The students traveling in the car, who are from a local college, were admitted to hospitals in Karkala and Mangaluru. A case has been registered at the Karkala Rural Police Station.
