Mangalore, November 23: The team of Kannada film “Chiru” expressed its gratitude to the public as well as the media at Mangalore Press Club on Nov 23, Tuesday. The visit to Mangalore is part of the team’s publicity campaign for the film, which is currently being shown in various theatres.

Maheshbabu, the director of the film, said that they visited the theatre and watched the movie and were happy with the audience response. The team had visited Mysore yesterday, he said, adding that the publicity tour will continue.



Chiranjeevi Sarja, the nephew of action king Arjun Sarja, who had played roles in “Vaayuputhra” and “Gandedhe,” a couple of commercial movies, has played the role of a lover in “Chiru.” The actor, who said that he considers Kamal Hassan and Dr. Rajkumar to be his role models, informed that the film was shot in 50 days. The movie is all about love and has several situational fight scenes, he said. Speaking about his next film “Dandam Dashagunam,” which he has co-starred with actress Ramya, he said that the movie is now in the finishing stage.


Krithi Kharbandha, who has played roles in Telugu film “Boni” with Sumath, has made her Sandalwood debut with “Chiru.” Krithi has worked in numerous advertisements such as Tanishq, Canara Bank, Fair and Lovely, and others. Speaking about her experiences with the film and its team, she said that she feels quite comfortable and at home with the entire team.
