Kankanady Market lacks cleanliness: MLA J R Lobo

Mangalore, Sep 18, 2013: Member of Legislative Assembly, J R Lobo, along with officials visited the Kankanady Market here on Wednesday, September 18.

 

He inspected various facilities and problems in the market and assured the market users that he will do the needful to solve the issue within a short span of time and also directed the officials to take proper steps to ensure that all the issues are resolved at the earliest.

Later, speaking to the media, Lobo said that in the first place, the market lacks cleanliness. Another issue is the leakage of roof that has been a major problem during raining seasons. Fish and vegetable vendors are placed in the same area of the market which should have been in separate divisions. He expressed that a new market building will be constructed and the blue print of which will be ready within 2 months.

Naveen D’Souza, T K sudhir, Karunakar Shetty, Krithin, Jayakar Samartha and other officials were present on the meet.
