Kadri Cricketers organize star-studded Star Nite

Mangalore, August 23: Kadri Cricketers organized Star Nite, their sixth annual celebrations, on Kadri Ground on Aug 22 Monday. The event was so fun-filled that even the heavy rains failed to dampen the spirits of the people who had arrived to witness it. 

 

 

 

 

C. T. Ravi, the chief secretary of the state BJP; Yogish Bhat, the speaker of the state assembly; Vinaykumar Sorake, the former MP; Suresh Ballal; Nagaraj Shetty; and Anand, the vice president of the Manipal Media Network were the prominent people present. 

Nakul Abhyankar, Aishwarya Majumdar, Arjun Janya, and Vijay Prakash were honored on the occasion. The Kadri Young Achievers Award 2011 was conferred on Aishwarya and Nakul, the Kadri Best Music Director Award 2011 was conferred on Arjun Janya, and the Kadri Best Singer Award 2011 was conferred on Vijay Prakash.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Ragini Dwivedi, the popular Sandalwood actress, who delighted the crowds with a few numbers. In her address, she thanked the crowd for their acceptance of her movie Kempe Gowda. Another star who graced the occasion was Vijay Prakash.

The four award winners and groups such as Ocean Kids and others entertained the crowds with their presentations. Under these circumstances, the rains were considered to be a boon. 

The crowd observed silence for 30 seconds to express its support for Anna Hazare and his anti-corruption movement.
