Mangalore, Apr 30, 2013: The Karnataka Janatha Party (KJP), will come out victorious in the Mangalore North Constituency, said party candidate  Ramachandra Baikampady.


Speaking at the press meet held at Hotel Woodland Hall on April 30, Tuesday, he said that the people of North constituency have suffered due to maladministration of the previous leader and the BJP government and are seeking a  change.”The services rendered by me to the fishermen community will help me win the elections with the support of the fishermen,” Ramachandra Baikampady said.

He blamed some politicians for backing the proposed Niddodi ultra mega thermal power plant and pretending to be unaware of the problem. The project will not be allowed to be established in the district, Ramachandra Baikampady said adding it will also be driven out  just as people of Karwar drove away  the Tadadi power plant.


The KJP promises fishermen to give them due representation, he said adding so far no political party has been able to give the fishermen community its due place.


 KJP leaders Kamaraj Rai, Azeez Baikampady, Hameed Kudroli, Ibrahim J, Ramesh Kanchan and Gangadhar Salian were present at the press meet.
