Mangalore, Nov 12, 2013 : The Karnataka Janatha Party (KJP) has urged the government to extend the Shaadi Bhagya scheme to deserving beneficiaries of other communities too.
The party workers staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangalore on November 11, Monday and lashed out at the state government for deciding to implement the scheme only for the benefit of Muslim women.
Jagadish Hiremani, KJP leader while criticizing the Siddaramaiah government pointed out how the Bhagya Lakshmi and such other schemes introduced by the erstwhile Yeddyurappa government was extended to people of all communities.
KJP leader Ramachandra Baikampady and others were present.
