The Congress is divided and BJP is united, she claimed. Sushma further said the state BJP has got a clean person as its Chief. Speaking on B S Yeddyurappa’s Karnataka Janatha Party (KJP), she said that KJP will neither form its own government nor gain sufficient votes to play a significant  role as a kingmaker. The state will see a direct fight between the Congress and BJP, she said.

Sushma said that people in the country are unhappy with the Congress led government due to the price hike of various commodities, scandals, scams and internal conflicts.

Rubbishing the rumour of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi of not being interested in campaigning for BJP in Karnataka, Sushma said Modi was  scheduled to visit Karnataka for campaigning.

On the allegation made by senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary regarding her proximity  with  Reddy brothers of Bellary, Sushma clarified that she used to visit Bellary once in a year just to take part in Varamahalaxmi Pooja.

Commenting on JPC report on 2G scam, Sushma said that Congress has manipulated the report and is not based on facts. The party and its leaders have shown lack of confidence in the JPC report, hence they have no moral right to continue in the post, she said.

Rina Prakash, State President, BJP Mahila Morcha and MLC Ganesh Karnik, were present.
