Mangaluru, Aug 20, 2026: KFC India has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and hygiene, stating that information currently circulating does not reflect the facts.
In an official statement, KFC said it sources high-quality chicken from reputed suppliers across the country and follows Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) guidelines, along with additional global quality standards.
The company said the chicken it serves and stores complies with applicable regulations and is prepared fresh at its restaurants every day. From the supplier’s farm to the customer’s plate, every piece of chicken undergoes multiple stringent quality and safety checks, it said.
KFC added that it is fully cooperating with the concerned authorities and reviewing the matter in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
The company also said customers who wish to learn more about its kitchen procedures and food safety protocols can approach the restaurant manager for a kitchen tour.
