Mangalore, May 8, 2013 : The Bharatiya Janatha Party which was hitherto claiming that there was a pro-BJP wave in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district, has to be satisfied with wins in just two constituencies- Sullia in Dakshina Kannada and Karkala in Udupi district.
In Sullia, party candidate S Angara has registered a win over Dr Raghu of Congress.
Angara secured 65913 votes as against 64540 votes polled by the Congress candidate.
In Karkala, Sunil Kumar of BJP won against his Congress rival Gopal Bhandari. He secured 64648 votes as against 60374 votes secured by the Congress candidate.
