They submitted an appeal, signed by the local people, to Mangalore Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh, in which they urged the city police to take action against the trouble makers.

The appeal alleges that Sathish Kumar is directly responsible for causing communal disharmony in the area and points out that he was once imprisoned for stealing a telephone pole and selling it to the scrap shop. It also accuses Sathish Kumar of getting into petty quarrels with the local people and breaking into a woman’s house.

According to the appeal, Bhavani Shankar was involved in the murder of the manager of Kurunji Venkataraman Gowda (KVJ) College and Shrinivas Ballal. The appeal alleges that Bhavani Shankar, along with four others, have the habit of sitting at the entrance of the Jeppinamogeru Temple and teasing women. He had also threatened those who had lodged a complaint against him in the police station.

The local people, under the leadership of Corporator J. Nagendra Kumar, submitted the appeal to the city police. They also informed the police that they will take action against the trouble makers on their own if the police fail to take action.
