JD (U) candidate K. Bharat campaigns on camel back

Udupi, Mar 12, 2012: K. Bharat recently attracted a lot of attention when he rode around town on the back of a camel, which was brought especially for this purpose. He rode all the way from Maruti Vitika to the Service Bus Stand today. Mr. Bharat is just one of the Udupi – Chikmagalur by poll candidates who has come up with unique ways to attract voters’ attention. 

Mr. Bharat was accompanied by M. P. Nada Gowda, the president of the state JD (U), and a number of JD (U) workers.

 

 

Meanwhile, R. V. Deshpande, the former president of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), was campaigning hard for Jayaprakash Hegde. He urged shopkeepers all along the way from Ratha Beedi to Badagupete to vote for Mr. Hegde. 

Actor Shrinath and Captain Ganesh Karnik were campaigning for Sunil Kumar, the BJP candidate, visiting families along Maruti Vitika. They were accompanied by Uday Kumar Shetty, president of the district unit of the BJP, Satyanarayan Shetty, and others.
