Mangalore, Nov 18: The book “Bhangarachem Mor” written by J. F. D’Souza was released by Rev. Fr. Jerome D’Souza SJ of Vinalaya, Bombay at Press Club on Nov 18, Thursday.

Rev. Fr. Jerome D’Souza said that Mr. J. F. D’Souza has written a number of stories for children, which have been compiled and published in five volumes. The sixth volume of these stories, titled “Bhangarachem Mor” contains entertaining stories for kids, he said. “I am sure that the book written by him for children will get into the minds and hearts of kids,” he said.

Mr. J. F. D’Souza served in the Karnataka State Forest Department for 39 years before taking up writing and discovering his passion for children’s literature. He said that he has written children’s stories such as “Bhangarachem Chithal” (Golden Deer), “Bhangarachem Kurad” (Golden Axe), “Bhangarachem Imaz” (Golden Idol), and “Bhangarachem Hus” (Golden Duck). He said that he usually writes for dailies.

Mr. J. F. D’Souza also bears the credit of having written a record number of 3,500 letters to the editor in various English and Kannada dailies.

A D’Souza and Dolphy F. Lobo were also present during the book release ceremony.
