Installaton of stalls under ’One Station One Product’ during Onam festival

Mangaluru, Aug 17, 2023: Southern Railway, Palakkad Division proposes to conduct a trade fair at the following stations over PALAKKAD Division under ‘One Station One Product Scheme’ which aims to provide enhanced livelihood and skill development opportunities to local artisans, potters, weavers/handloom weavers, craftsmen, tribals etc, through provision of sale outlets at the stations listed below.

 

 

The fair shall be conducted for a period of seven days from 23.8.2023 to 29.8.2023. Interested persons fulfilling the criteria given can submit the applications to the Railway officials indicated as under.

 

Objective:

’One Station One Product’ scheme announced in the Union Budget 2022-23 has four fold objective as follows:

a) Promoting ’Vocal for Local’ vision of Government of India.
b) Providing a market for the local/indigenous products.
c) Providing an opportunity to Railway passengers to experience the rich heritage of India and to buy Local /indigenous products.
d) Creating additional income opportunities for the marginalized sections of society.

Scope:

Under this scheme, Railways would provide outlets -fixed stalls/kiosks, portable stalls /trolleys at Railway stations for showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to indigenous/local products. Railways shall identify stations, eligible products and the vendors.
