Human Rights and Legal Awareness Cell inaugurated in Shirva

Shirva, 31 August 2012: Mysore University Professor Dr. Musafer Asadi inaugurated the Human Rights and Legal Awareness Cell jointly initiated by the NSS unit of Mangalore University and Vaikunta Baliga Law College at Shirva St. Mary’s College.
Rev. Fr. Stany Tauro, correspondent of St. Mary’s College, presided. In his presidential address, he said that these programs serve to enhance legal awareness among students and help them develop their personality.
Dr. S. Padmanabha Bhat, head of the political science department, delivered the introductory address.
The students of Vaikunta Baliga Law College held a court of law session later.
