SHAHID 1Shahid Sheikh, a businessman from West Bengal, who runs a gold jewelry business in Gokak, Belgaum, got into Shekhar’s auto rickshaw, but left his bag behind when he alighted. Shekar gave the bag to Raghavendra, a traffic police constable on duty at Jyothi Circle. The driver, who hails from Kadri, had taken a number of other passengers before he spotted the bag. Lauding Shekar for his honesty, Mangalore Police Commissioner Manish Kharbikar said that the city police will honor the rickshaw driver.

Shahid said that he had come to Mangalore on business when he left the bag behind in the auto. He was so relieved to get back his bag that he announced that he will reward Shekar.
