Hindu activists raid illegal abattoir at Venur

Belthangady, Se 1, 2013: An illegal abattoir at Kashipatna in Venur was raided allegedly by some activists of Hindu organization on September 1, Sunday.
Later, the Venur police rushed to the spot and arrested one Shabbeer who was running the abattoir.
Two others who were at the place however managed to give the cops a slip. Police have seized several packets of meat, weighing nearly 25 kg.
Investigations are underway.
