Mangalore, Nov 6, 2013: The members of Hindu Samrakshana Vedike staged protest in front of the Mangalore rural police station November 6, Wednesday demanding to arrest the criminals of communal clash occurred at Mallur in Neermarga.
Addressing the protestors, Harish Moodushedde, president of taluk panchyath said that if the police fail to arrest culprits, we will catch and hand over to the police.
He also said that even though the police witnessed the communal clash in Mallur, they failed to arrest the accused. This is due to the political pressure.
Harish also said that the culprits are getting the backups from political parties, this shows that the state and the central governments are purely anti- Hindu’s.
He also warned the police officials to arrest the culprits within five days or else they will observe Bundh in Neermarga area followed by a district-level protest.
VHP leader Jagadish Shenava said that if the atrocities on the Hindu community increase in coming days, the police department will be directly responsible for the act.
Leaders Sharan Pumpwell, Kumar Malemar, Jeethendra Kottary, Veerappa Moodushedde, Pradeep Pumpwell, Puneeth Pumpwell, Bhujanga Kulal and others were present.
