Heroine-oriented movie Mahanadi to be released by New Year

Mangalore, July 19, 2012: Krishnappa Uppur, movie director, announced at a press conference held in Hotel Moti Mahal on July 18, Wednesday that his female-oriented movie Mahanadi, which has completed 48 days of shooting, with the support of Jerry Dais, will be released by New Year. 

 

 

Sharing his experiences with the movie, he said that nobody stepped forward to assist him financially when he first came up with the idea for Mahanadi two years back. Finally, Jerry Dais agreed to help him, he added.

He also said that he decided to make a heroine-oriented movie because one hardly finds any heroine-oriented movie these days. The movie requires just 25 – 30 more days of shooting, he added.

Regarding the plot, he said that the movie is all about a girl belonging to a fishing community, who dreams of getting married to a Mumbai-based boy. The lead roles are being played by Sanjana and Dilip Raj, he added. 

Sanjana, the heroine of the movie, said that the movie is excellent although it is JJ Productions’ first movie. Regarding her acting experiences, she said that it was a demanding role and that she had more responsibilities as an actress. 

Speaking on the occasion, Jerry Dais, the producer of the movie, said that he decided to finance the movie to encourage budding movie stars and support the director. He said that Mahanadi is a movie meant for the entire family. 

Scarlet, Photographer Sundarnath Suvarna, music director A. M. Neel, media coordinator Yathish Baikampady, and many others associated with the movie were present.
