HJV’s controversial banner barring merchants from other religions appears in Kukke Subrahmanya

Subrahmanya, Nov 24, 2022: With the temple town of Kukke Subrahmanya gearing up for the Shashti celebrations, a banner has appeared stating that  other community people cannot do business during the festivity. The banner mentions the name of Hindu Jagarana Vedike, Subrahmanya unit.

The banner is seen  near the welcome arc close by the Kumaradhara bathing ghat. The Vedike has also submitted a memorandum to the Temple Executive Officer stating that people from other religions  should not be allowed to conduct business during the festival.

The Temple Executive Officer Dr Ningaiah said he was unaware about the putting up of the banner and clarified that the temple authorities have not put up any banner and the temple administration has nothing to do with the banner. The temple has also not permitted anyone to put up any banner, he said.
