Moodbidri, Aug 15, 2025: A vast open-air stage adorned with a rich variety of flowers, the tricolour flag waving in every hand, and patriotic songs resonating from thousands of voices—thousands of spectators gathered to witness this magnificent spectacle at the Independence Day celebrations hosted by Alva’s Education Foundation.
At the K.V. Subbanna open-air theatre in Vidyagiri, Moodbidri, the Foundation celebrated Independence Day with grandeur and enthusiasm. The unique celebrations drew thousands of students and members of the public.
Lieutenant General Anant Narayan attended as the chief guest, hoisted the national flag, and delivered the Independence Day message.
The event was graced by the Foundation’s President Dr. M. Mohan Alva, Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian, trustee Vivek Alva, faculty members, and other dignitaries.
The open-air theatre was lavishly decorated with multi-coloured flowers. Students wearing tricolour T-shirts stood in rows that framed the stage and grounds in the hues of the national flag. Behind the stage, students holding tricolour umbrellas further enhanced the splendour of the venue.
