Gonzaga Open Rapid Chess Tournament on July 17

Mangaluru, July 16, 2016 : Gonzaga Open Rapid Chess Tournament will be conducted at the Loyola Hall of St Aloysius College on July 17, Sunday under the joint auspices of Edgar’s Altinovo Solutions, St Aloysius Gonzaga CBSE School and Derik’s Chess School.

Informing this to reporters here, Edgar A J Pereira, Founder and Managing director of Edgar’s Altinovo Solutions said Rangoli Digitals, Global Data Systems, Daijiworld and Big FM will support this event as partners.

Prasanna Rao, Administrator of Derik’s Chess School and Chief Tournament Arbiter said the tournament is open to all and will be held under 10 categories for boys, girls and open (Both men and Women) in the under 7, 10,13 and 16 age group.

The top three winners will get Rs 25,000 and trophies, while a total of five toppers in each category will be awarded.

Errol Pereira, Chief Executive Officer of Global Data Systems and Priya were present at the press meet.

We have to train the young ones and make them understand the importance of such games . It increases mental ability and makes active.

Hence these tournament have to be conducted occasionally. Because the children are busy with mobile phones and Laptops . Which are not at all worth and not useful for them in any way.
