Gold worth Rs. 10 lakh stolen from house in Bajpe

Bajpe, March 28, 2012 : A house at Tunkadakatte in Bajpe was broken into on Tuesday at around 11:30 a.m. and gold ornaments worth Rs. 10 lakh were stolen.

The owner of the house Mrs. Saroja Salian had gone for work at that time, leaving behind her niece Geetha. The burglars had tied up Geetha and escaped with the gold.

When the thieves left the house, Ms. Geetha managed to free herself and informed the neighbors who immediately contacted Mrs. Salian.

The police are yet to register the case.
