In his address, he said that the government, which has raised the prices of essential commodities, is doing nothing for the common people who are finding it difficult to make both ends meet. Although the labourer class is working under difficult conditions, they are not getting even the minimum wages due to them. He stated that people employed to supply water to villages are not getting the job security they deserve. He demanded that the government should pay Panchayat workers a minimum salary of at least Rs. 10,000 per month.

Vasudev Uchila, leader of the trade union and hundreds of Gram Panchayat workers took part in this protest demanding proper facilities at the work place and decent salaries.
